Gold Coast Premier Properties Group is an extended stay hotel developer headquartered out of Miami, Florida. Since its inception in 2015, Gold Coast is in the process of developing over 20 hotels in the following states: Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Connecticut, Rhode Island and California. This is an unprecedented feat in hotel development.
Founders
Gold Coast Premier Properties Group was founded by locally-based Raul Garcia, Italian based Rene de Picciotto—the principal shareholder of the Group—and England-based Pascal Fournier. Both Messrs. de Picciotto and Fournier are major real estate investors for decades. Their holdings include hotels in Europe and Switzerland, as well as the largest shopping mall in St. Petersburg, Russia—the 1.13M Square Feet Shopping Center Piter Raduga.
Mr. de Picciotto was formerly the Chairman and Partner of SG Private Banking Swiss SA, a $40 Billion Private Bank and subsidiary of Société Générale, one of the largest banks in the world. Additionally, Messrs. de Picciotto and Garcia were the founders and owners of First Bank of Miami, which was sold to Apollo Bank in 2014.
Mr. Fournier is an investor / partner of Mr. de Picciotto in Gold Coast Properties Group and other ventures. The Fournier family are the founders of Carrefour, the European equivalent to Walmart. He is also involved as an investor and director in companies working in the aerospace and biological engineering research and development fields.

Respected & Awarded
For such notable efforts the Group was awarded Developer of the Year in 2017 by WoodSpring Suites and Premier Developer of the Year in 2018 by Choice Hotels International. Numerous of Gold Coast’s WoodSpring Suites hotels are located strategically near a major highway intersection and many have consistently been ranked in the top 10 or high within the brand. In 2022, Gold Coast Premier Properties entered into a development agreement with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

WoodSpring Suites by Choice Hotels
WoodSpring Suites is a state-of-the-art extended stay hotel brand that was acquired by Choice International Hotels in February of 2018. WoodSpring was originally created by Jack DeBoer, whom is credited as being the founder of the extended stay segment. In 1975, Mr. DeBoer created Residence Inn, now owned by Marriot. He later developed Summerfield Suites, Candlewood Suites, & Value Place, the latter of which rebranded into WoodSpring Suites in 2015.
ECHO Suites℠ Extended Stay by Wyndham
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchising company with approximately 9,100 hotels across more than 95 countries, released ECHO Suites on November 1, 2022. Being simple, minimal, and modern, the brand focuses on providing guests with a “home away from home” feel and to bring a sense of stability and comfort. ECHO Suites is the fastest growing brand in Wyndham’s development pipeline with 200 hotels in year 1. (As of March 21, 2023.)
